Ingredients

Dough:

  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tbsp milk

  1. Prepare the dough
    • In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.
    • Add egg, oil, salt, and flour gradually.

    • Cover and let rise for 1 hour until doubled.
  2. Make the filling
    • Mix cheese with parsley (and any optional filling).
  3. Shape the buns
    • Divide dough into small balls.
    • Roll each into a strip or oval.
    • Add filling in the center, then fold and seal.
    • Shape into rings or twists like in the picture.
  4. Second rise
    • Place on a baking tray, cover, and let rest 20–30 minutes.
  5. Bake
    • Brush with egg yolk + milk.
    • Bake at 180Β°C (350Β°F) for 20–25 minutes until golden.
