Onion Peel Tea Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Peels from 1–2 onions (yellow or red, well washed)
  • 2 cups water
  • Optional: honey, lemon, or ginger for taste

Instructions:

  1. Wash the peels well
    Make sure they’re clean and free from dirt or pesticides.
  2. Boil the water
    Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a small pot.
  3. Add the onion peels
    Drop in the peels and reduce heat.
  4. Simmer
    Let it simmer for about 10–15 minutes.
  5. Strain
    Remove the peels using a strainer.
  6. Add flavor (optional)
    Add honey, lemon juice, or a slice of ginger to improve taste.
  7. Serve warm
    Drink once or twice a day if desired.

⚠️ Important Note:

While onion peels contain antioxidants like quercetin, claims about “cleansing the prostate” or curing infections are not scientifically proven. This tea can be a mild, healthy drink, but it shouldn’t replace medical treatment if you have urinary or prostate issues.
