Ingredients
- 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks
- Salt
- Black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 4 eggs
- 3 cups shredded potatoes (hash browns)
- 1 small onion, chopped small
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- Salt (for potatoes)
- Black pepper (for potatoes)
Steak and Eggs with Hash Browns: Directions
- Sprinkle lots of salt and black pepper on both sides of the steaks.
- Heat a pan on medium-high. Put in olive oil.
- Cook steaks 3-4 minutes on each side until done how you like. Add butter at the end and spoon it over the steaks. Take them out and let rest.
- In another pan, warm vegetable oil on medium. Add shredded potatoes and chopped onion. Press down flat. Cook without moving until golden and crunchy.
- Flip and cook the other side until brown. Add salt and black pepper.
- In the same pan or a new one, fry eggs sunny-side up or how you want.
- Put steak, eggs, and hash browns on plates. Eat right away!
