Ingredients
8 slices white bread
8 slices cheddar cheese
8 large eggs
16 slices bacon
2 tablespoons butter
Salt (to taste)
Black pepper (to taste)
Bacon Egg and Cheese Sandwiches: Directions
Cook the bacon in a pan on medium heat until it becomes crispy. Put cooked bacon on paper towels to soak up extra grease.
Melt a little butter in the skillet and fry the eggs. Cook until the egg whites are set and yolks are how you like them. Sprinkle salt and black pepper.
Lightly toast the bread slices in a pan or toaster.
Place 2 pieces of cheddar cheese on each slice of toast. On four toasts, add one fried egg each. On the other four toasts, pile on the crispy bacon.
Close each sandwich by matching an egg slice with a bacon slice.
Heat 1 tablespoon butter in the skillet, then cook sandwiches 1–2 minutes per side until the bread is golden brown and the cheese melts.
Cut and serve the sandwiches warm.
