Slow Cooker 5-Ingredient Beef Stew

Ingredients (Serves 4–6)

  • 1.2–1.5 kg (2.5–3 lbs) chuck roast, cut into large cubes
  • 4–5 medium potatoes, chopped
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 packet (or 1 cup) beef broth
  • 1 packet onion soup mix (or 1 tbsp seasoning blend)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Prepare the slow cooker
    Lightly grease or spray inside.
  2. Layer ingredients
    Add potatoes and onion at the bottom.
    Place beef cubes on top.
  3. Add liquids & seasoning
    Sprinkle onion soup mix over beef.
    Pour beef broth evenly over everything.
  4. Cook
    • Low: 8 hours (best for tender meat)
    • High: 4–5 hours
  5. Finish & serve
    Stir gently. Meat should be fork-tender.
    Taste and adjust salt if needed.
