The Crust
- 1 refrigerated pie crust (or homemade)
The Cheeseburger Filling
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 for juiciness!)
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp salt & pepper
- 1 tbsp ketchup + 1 tbsp mustard
The Cheesy Topping
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 3 eggs
- ½ cup milk
- ½ cup heavy cream (or half-and-half)
- 1 tbsp pickle juice (trust us!)
The Garnish
- Shredded lettuce
- Sliced tomatoes
- Diced pickles
- Extra ketchup & mustard

STEP-BY-STEP
1. Prep the Crust
- Press pie crust into 9-inch pie dish. Crimp edges.
- Pre-bake at 375°F (190°C) for 10 mins (with pie weights or prick with fork).
2. Make the Filling
- Brown beef + onion. Drain fat.
- Stir in Worcestershire, spices, ketchup & mustard.
3. Assemble & Bake
- Spread beef in crust. Top with 1 cup cheese.
- Whisk eggs, milk, cream & pickle juice, pour over beef.
- Sprinkle remaining 1 cup cheese on top.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25-30 mins until golden and set.
4. Serve Like a True Southerner
- Let cool 5 mins.
- Garnish with lettuce, tomatoes & pickles.
- Drizzle with ketchup & mustard (in a zigzag, like a true burger!).

Extra flavor? Add crumbled bacon to the beef layer!
