Toll House Famous Fudge

Makes: 24–30 squares

🛒 Ingredients

  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup evaporated milk
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 package (12 oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 jar (7 oz) marshmallow creme
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
  • ¼ tsp salt

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Prepare the pan: Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
  2. Boil the mixture: In a large saucepan, combine sugar, evaporated milk, butter, and salt. Bring to a full rolling boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  3. Cook: Once boiling, continue cooking for 5 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent scorching.
  4. Add chocolate: Remove from heat and immediately stir in the chocolate chips and marshmallow creme until completely melted and smooth.
  5. Add flavor: Stir in vanilla and chopped walnuts or pecans.
  6. Pour: Quickly spread the fudge into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  7. Set: Let cool at room temperature until firm, or refrigerate for about 2 hours.
  8. Cut & serve: Lift the fudge from the pan, cut into squares, and enjoy! 🍫❤️

Tip: Don’t rush the boiling stage—the full 5-minute boil helps the fudge set properly.
